Avon Gorge Cruises on The Matthew

ANNOUNCEMENT

Urgent repair works are currently taking place on the outer lock gate at the entrance to the Cumberland Basin. These repair works were originally expected to take four weeks during July 2025. Unfortunately, however, the repair period has been extended to at least the end of September, but possibly until the end of the year.

Sadly, this means that The Matthew is unable to run the Avon Gorge Cruise as planned for the rest of this year, as the use of the lock is restricted while the works are ongoing. All ticket holders have been informed.

We are sorry for the disappointment to all of our customers affected by this situation, and we are absolutely gutted ourselves as the Avon Gorge Cruise is an important part of our summer activities. However, we are looking forward to running the trip again in 2026. The first batch of dates will be announced around February/March 2026.
