Harbour Trips on The Matthew

Enjoy a cruise around Bristol's historic Floating Harbour on board The Matthew and experience our beautiful city from the water on this 45-minute round trip.

Setting off from our Princes Wharf mooring, you’ll enjoy a leisurely sail around the harbour, taking in all the sights and sounds between Prince Street Bridge and The Pumphouse/Junction Lock.

  • How long is the Harbour Trip?
    This trip is 45 minutes long.

  • What does my ticket include?
    Your ticket includes a round trip around Bristol’s historic harbour.

  • Is commentary included?
    This trip does not include commentary. However, you are invited to ask our knowledgeable volunteer crew any questions you have whilst on your trip – they love to talk about The Matthew, John Cabot and local maritime history!

  • Can I get something to eat on this trip?
    Food is not served on this trip. You are welcome to bring your own snacks, but please keep in mind that the 45-minute run time for this trip doesn't leave much time for eating. There are open areas around the harbourside where you will be able to enjoy a picnic either before or after your Harbour Trip. There are also a multitude of cafes, bars and restaurants in the area.

  • Can I buy a drink on this trip?
    The Matthew bar will not be open on this trip. You are welcome to bring your own soft drinks and hot drinks. However, please be aware that passengers are not permitted to bring their own alcohol on board at any time.
