July 2021 update

Following the government announcement that restrictions are ending as planned on July 19th, we're pleased to announce that, after a very tough 16 months for us all, we are able to operate The Matthew at her full capacity again.

What this means for you is that previously sold-out trips scheduled for after July 19th now have some spaces available!

And that's not all...we've also added in some more public trips, taking us up to the beginning of September.

Book your tickets now!

Head on over to our Book Tickets page to book yourself a place on an Avon Gorge cruise, on one of our popular early evening Fish & Chips trips, or on one of our Harbour Trips, running throughout the school summer holidays.

Spaces have also opened up for our previously sold-out special Fish & Chips trips with musical accompaniment from either local Sea Shanty band The Harry Browns, or from the pirate band, Piratitude. There aren't many spaces left on either of these trips, so they are likely to sell out quickly.

We can't wait to welcome you aboard!

Matthew of Bristol

The Matthew that you see in Bristol today is a modern reconstruction of the original Matthew that John Cabot sailed to Newfoundland in 1497. It is a much-loved part of Bristol’s maritime heritage with a busy schedule of public boat trips, film and festival work, corporate and celebratory events.
