Boat Trips Timetable

2022 trip dates coming soon!

The Matthew is getting shipshape for our 2022 season!

Our skipper and crew are currently working through The Matthew’s annual winter maintenance programme, preparing the ship for the busy sailing season ahead. We’re also putting together our programme of events and trips for our 2022 sailing season, which runs between April and October.

Dates are published on this page as and when new trips are confirmed, so keep an eye out for all the latest info or register to receive The Matthew newsletter and we’ll let you know when tickets are on sale.

Visiting The Ship

We are now operating under our winter opening hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 4pm*

It's free to come on board, explore the ship and talk with our dedicated crew of volunteers.

Take a look at our Plan Your Visit pages for more information.

*Please note that opening times are subject to change without notice. For health and safety reasons, we may not be able to open as planned  during our winter maintenance programme.

Buying your tickets

  • Please check the boat trips timetable for information about how to purchase your tickets.
  • Advance tickets for all trips are available to purchase online (subject to availability). Online booking will close up to three days before an event.
  • If we have tickets available for our Harbour Trips or Avon Gorge Cruises after online booking has closed, you will be able to buy your tickets on board on the day. These tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved.
  • Tickets for our Fish & Chips Trips or Cream Tea Trips must be purchased online in advance. Booking for these trips will close three days before the trip.
  • If a trip is marked as sold out or booking now closed, it does mean that we have no tickets left for either online booking or on board on the day.

Please note that we can only take CASH payments on the ship.

We do not have the facility to accept card payments for tickets purchased on board. Our volunteers will be happy to direct you to the nearest cashpoint.
